About my Monthly Travel Journal – a new series

I love to blog and I love to write about the destinations I visit during my full time travel journey around the world. However, somewhere along the way I feel like my blog posts are becoming a bit impersonal. Writing about things to see, where to eat, the best accommodation barely scratches the surface of what I experience during my journey.

Don’t get me wrong, I think that my posts so far are informative and really useful for the people that want to visit those places but there is so much more to it. Maybe not all my readers are interested in my personal stories so this is why I will continue to write guides but for the ones who want to know more about what full time travelling really means and about what I experience while switching accommodations every three days, I present to you my Monthly Travel Journal.

Monthly Travel Journal focus

The simple idea behind it is to share with you everything I did in the previous month. Starting with briefly presenting the locations I visited and ending with funny stories, feelings and my journey as a travel blogger. I want to share EVERYTHING with you.

I am tired of all the fake full time travel glamour that is presented to us through Instagram posts, Instagram stories and some blog posts. Not everything is glamorous, at least not for me. Being in a foreign country, without knowing the language and hustling to get to the point where I can make an income from traveling is not fancy. I am sure that some travel bloggers have real fancy lives but I am also sure that this is not the case for the majority of us.

I know that many of you consider taking the big step of traveling full time. I hope that my Monthly Travel Journal will give you an idea about what to expect. It’s not easy, I’m telling you.

My one year of full time travel have put me through a roller-coaster of emotions. I’ve been extremely happy and extremely sad (mostly because I realize that my funds won’t last forever but not only). I’ve been scammed, I’ve seen the ugly part of travel and I’ve been homeless for a few nights. You won’t find these stories in my usual travel guides but you’ll find them in my Monthly Travel Journal.

I also want to share more with you about my evolution as a travel blogger. I’ve tried it all: Instagram, blog, YouTube but it hasn’t always been easy. I’ve been through times when I hated Instagram, I’ve been through times when I almost gave up on everything. I want this journal to be an opportunity for you to learn from my experiences and build your own success story.

Now, I won’t lie. I am also writing this Monthly Travel Journal for me. 20 years from now I want to read these posts and remember this amazing experience – every detail of it. Not everyone has the chance to travel full time and I am aware that I am one of the few lucky (I mean hardworking) ones. There is no such thing as luck but I am going to tell you more about how I manged to travel full time in my first Monthly Travel Journal.

When to expect the first Monthly Travel Journal?

My first Monthly Travel Journal will be released at the beginning of February 2019 and I believe that it will bring a new, raw perspective over full time travel and travel in general. Not everything is glamorous as shown in the Instagram shots and if you follow my stories on Instagram, you’ve already seen a few of the funny things that happened to me.

See you in a few weeks!

May the travel bug bite you!
